Red Congolese is an insanely popular 100% pure sativa strain that is the result of a cross between a female Congolese X Mexican Sativa X Afghani.

This dank bud won 3rd Place for Best at High Times’ Cannabis Cup in 2013.

The Red Congolese high is often described as a feeling of elation and awareness with alertness and an increased ability to focus. This is accompanied by a light tingly body high with amplified senses and excitable energy that slowly fades into a feeling of tranquillity and well-being.

Because of these uplifting effects, this strain is often used as a wake-and-bake treatment and is ideal for treating patients suffering from conditions such as anxiety disorders, tension, chronic stress, and fatigue.

The Red Congolese buds have fluffy and airy light minty green nugs with deep orange and red undertones, thin fiery orange hairs, a layer of fine crystal trichomes, and are sticky with syrupy sweet resin.

With a fruity, cheesy aroma and a taste of spicy berries, Red Congolese certainly is a delicious treatment option for any medical cannabis patient.

    Great overall. Red Congo has been different when I've had it before (very sativa-like bud structure whereas these buds are hard, compact and indica-like) but those lemony terps are on point. Mouth-watering. Red Congo doesn't usually get too high re: THC but this definitely hits. Thanks for bringing in a great sativa, PG.

    The vapor from this strain is smooth and satisfying with its nutty undertone. The taste is on the mild side, slightly citrusy. If you are a flavor fiend this strain may not be for you.



    The effect are a slightly elevated mood; a more pointed attention; an increased alertness of the senses. The best part is that I don’t feel that stoned, it’s an easy high with a slight uplifting effect. I love African Sativas for these properties, and the Red Congolese didn’t disappoint. I got some a month ago, and ordered more before I ran out of my first batch: it’s how I ‘wrap-up’ the afternoon after a day of work these days.

    First time trying this strain. Heard a lot about it and wanted to know what the deal was all about. The 1 oz I bought was small thick nugs with good texture and smell on them. The effects like others said are all a sativa's lover dream. Lots of energy and focus, perfect for getting things done and focusing on tasks. Would definitely recommend for everyone to try this strain at least once.
